Job Description: The Business Analyst is an agent of change. They will be responsible for being the bridge between IT and business stakeholders. Having great verbal and written communication skills and being a problem solver are must have qualities for this role. The Business Systems Analyst should continuously grow their knowledge in new technologies in order to respond to the stakeholders’ needs in a rapidly changing business environment. Experience in data warehousing is preferred. Business Analyst with ETL/Data Mapping.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include creating Business Requirement Documents, Functional Requirement Documents and Mapping documents for the development of ETL applications.
- Writing extensive complex SQL queries across multiple tables, data analysis and profiling skills for the creation of the mapping documents and further discussion with data modelers for the necessary table designs.
- Support engagement activities to analyze business environments, gather business requirements and create data visualizations in support of product.
- Work collaboratively with software engineers to define and translate requirements into developed solutions.
- Manages software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, including release planning, requirements gathering, design, configurations, planning, creating and executing test cases and analyzing results.
- Serve as liaison between business constituents and internal/global IT teams to provide support of existing systems and collaborate on strategic roadmaps to align business initiatives and product development.
- Status reporting
- Diagnose problem and identify opportunities for process redesign and improvement.
Qualifications/Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics OR related field or equivalent experience required
Experience:
- Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience in business analytics, business intelligence and data analysis in various BI technologies, patterns and practices.
- Relevant experience as Healthcare Business Analyst working with various stake holders
- Ability to effectively communicate complicated data and analytics related subjects with both business and technical teams.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling concepts and building new DW tables.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong business judgement and an ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner.
- Experience interacting with business users to elicit and document user requirements.
- Relevant Experience in BFIS space is preferred
- Experience accurately documenting user requirements to help developers, automation test frameworks and users to ensure that user intent is effectively captured and tested
- Experience developing business cases/stories for prioritization
- Experience analyzing utilization data and business performance reports to provide notation for performance deviation and anomalies
- Experience translating technical information into a non-technical representation
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skill
- Experience to work with Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated advance command of the following Microsoft software applications: Word, Excel, Power Point and SQL
