Job Summary:
As an AEM Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the Adobe Experience Manager platform. Your focus will be on creating exceptional digital experiences that resonate with our target audience, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and usability. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and usability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Template and Component Development:
o Work closely with business team to create, extend, and configure AEM templates and components.
o Customize existing templates to meet specific project requirements such as marketing campaigns.
o Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines. - AEM Asset and Site Customization:
o Customize AEM assets (such as images, videos, and documents) to align with project needs.
o Develop and maintain AEM sites, ensuring seamless user experiences.
o Optimize site performance and responsiveness. - Integration and Interoperability:
o Integrate AEM with other systems, APIs, and third-party tools.
o Implement RESTful services and APIs for data exchange.
o Collaborate with backend developers and system architects to ensure smooth integration. - OSGi Services and Configuration:
o Build and configure OSGi components and services.
o Understand and work with the AEM service framework.
o Troubleshoot issues related to OSGi bundles and services. - Testing and Troubleshooting:
o Test applications thoroughly to identify and fix bugs.
o Troubleshoot AEM projects, addressing issues related to content rendering, caching, performance, and SEO considerations.
o Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality, error-free solutions. - Other Responsibilities:
o Collaborate with vendor development teams to implement integrated technical solutions.
o Migrate content/pages from existing sites to the new AEM-based platform.
o Utilize AEM to layout pages effectively, troubleshoot issues, and train content authors.
o Work closely with the testing and Infosec teams at Genpact.
o Migrate content/pages from existing site to new AEM based site.
Qualifications:
Certification:
o Preferred: Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) certification for AEM Developers (exam code: AD0-E103).
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Java and JCR API.
o Comfortable setting up development environments (e.g., Java SDK and AEM).
o Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, responsive design) and the ability to migrate to AEM.
Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (equivalent experience considered).
o 4+ years working with web content management systems, including AEM version 6.5 and above.
o 4+ years of experience with Apache Sling, OSGi, DAM, REST, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, and related technologies.
Additional Skills:
Familiarity with Google Analytics and Web Analytics is a plus.
